Dr. Frederick Gooding, Jr.
Frederick W. Gooding, Jr., Ph.D. is an associate history professor and the inaugural holder of the Dr. Ronald E. Moore Endowed Professor of the Humanities in the John V. Roach Honors College at Texas Christian University. “Dr. G,” as he is affectionately known, also served as inaugural chair of TCU’s Race & Reconciliation Initiative from 2020-2022. He is the co-author of the book A History to Remember: TCU in Purple, White, and Black.
