Company Culture – a Family business

“Oven Fresh News” highlighted employee achievements and shared company news.

Mrs. Baird's company prided itself on its family roots, and all of the Baird sons were heavily involved with the business.  The company tried to create a family atmosphere for its employees.  Company picnics, banquets, and celebrations were regular events, and sometimes held at the Baird family farm in Arlington.

Despite the family atmosphere, labor disputes did arise at the company.  These items illustrate the tension between workers and management.
