Transcript: Negro School Head Thanks Mrs. Burnett. W. L. Dickson, negro, of the Dickson Negro Orphanage at Gilmer, in a statement Saturday expressed his appreciation for the $12,000 endowment given by Mrs. Mary Couts Burnett Wednesday for a chair of domestic science at the institution. Mrs. Burnett, Dickson stated, has been a regular contributor to the orphanage for several years.
