Proclamation by Governor Rick Perry honoring Mrs Baird's 100th Anniversary, issued in January 2008. The proclamation reads, "The State of Texas, Governor, To all to whom these presents shall come, Greetings: Know ye, that this certificate is presented to: Mrs Baird's on the occasion of its 100th Anniversary, January 2008, I am honored to extend congratulations on the occasion of your 100th anniversary of service to the Lone Star State.
We honor the namesake Mrs. Ninnie L. Baird for her perseverance and dedication as an entrepreneur. Her business began with a commitment to her family and continued to thrive and expand due to her quality, honesty, generosity and service. One hundred years and millions of loaves later, Mrs. Baird's Bread is a Texas legend with a very rich history.
First Lady Anita Perry joins me in sending congratulations.
In testimony whereof, I have signed my name and caused the Seal of the State of Texas to be affixed at the City of Austin, this the 20th day of December, 2007, Rick Perry, Governor of Texas."
